A new book by Allan Amos in a never before told story set in Toronto.
TORONTO, Oct. 17 /CNW/ - When a prison volunteer begins to learn some
unsavory lessons from the inmates, he plans the ultimate crime in this action
In The Volunteer, Toronto native Sydney Templeton, who when his life hit
the doldrums because it became too routine, decides to volunteer at a jail
that houses inmates who were either denied bail or awaiting sentencing. The
prison chaplain realizes that he had an uncanny gift of getting the inmates to
talk and because of the progress he made, was allowed regular visits with
three inmates: Andre, a contract killer, Bobby a fraudster and Xavier, who
operated a grow-operation from his home. All three men were glad for Sydney's
company but they unwittingly awoke his dark side. Using his newly acquired
criminal skills, Sydney was able to successfully pull off the crime of the
century in Toronto.
Volume II will reveal Sydney's fall, the death of his family and his
subsequent incarceration, only because he failed to learn the ultimate lesson
the inmates were trying to impart to him.
The Volunteer weaves together the life experiences of diverse people
living in Toronto, into an easy to read, entertaining crime thriller that
engages the reader from start to finish.
