Vivacité Montréal stems from an agreement that seeks to financially
support professional immigrant and visible minority artists under 35 years of
age in their initial attempts to integrate into and participate in
professional arts and literature milieus and to foster their career
development. This agreement is also intended to recognize their contribution
to Montréal's artistic and cultural life, promote the contribution made by the
up-and-coming generation of professional immigrant and visible minority
artists, and make the artists' work accessible to the public in Montréal. The
next registration deadline is December 1, 2009. The list of grant recipients
for the 2008-2009 registration period is available on the Conseil's Website
