The Salvation Army Kettles in the GTA $300,000 to go for its $2 Million Objective



    TORONTO, Dec. 21 /CNW/ - The Salvation Army Christmas Kettle Campaign in
the GTA still has $300,000 to go to reach its $2 million objective with only
4 days to go.
    "We are counting on the generosity and kindness of those during the
Christmas season to help us reach our financial objectives", says Captain
John Murray - Spokesperson for The Salvation Army.
    "There's no shortage of need in our community and we desperately require
the Christmas Kettle donations to provide hope to the marginalized and
vulnerable of our community daily."

    The Salvation Army is an international Christian organization that began
its work in Canada in 1882 and has grown to become the largest
non-governmental direct provider of social services in the country. The
Salvation Army gives hope and support to vulnerable people today and everyday
in 400 communities across Canada and 113 countries around the world.
