The Learning Partnership to announce Canada's Outstanding Principals(TM) for 2008



    TORONTO, Jan. 7 /CNW/ - On Tuesday January 8, 2008, The Learning
Partnership will announce the honourees for Canada's Outstanding Principals
2008.
    Now in its fourth year, Canada's Outstanding Principals honours the
extraordinary contributions of dynamic education leaders in publicly funded
schools. Principals, who have made a measurable difference in the lives of
their students and their own local communities and help ensure that Canada's
young people continue to receive a quality education, have been selected from
across the country for the prestigious honour.

    Established in 1993, The Learning Partnership champions a strong public
education system in Canada through innovative programs, credible research,
policy initiatives and public engagement. Since its inception, more than three
million students and teachers have participated in one or more of The Learning
Partnership's programs, including Take Our Kids to Work(TM) and Welcome to
