The Guzzo Family announces it will hold the Notte In Bianco to support the Guzzo Environment-Cancer Research Chair

MONTREAL, June 3 /CNW Telbec/ - Having been involved for several years in
the fight against cancer, the Guzzo Family is pleased to announce today the
1st edition of the Notte In Bianco, a benefit on behalf of The Cancer Research
Society.
This unique event will take place on September 11, under the honorary
presidency of Mr. Jacques Daoust, President and CEO of Investissement Québec,
and his wife, Mrs. Ghislaine Guyon Daoust. "We all know someone whose life has
been affected by cancer. We are sincerely moved to be able to contribute to
the fight against this terrible disease by inviting the Montréal business
community to take part in an innovative benefit while contributing to a cause
of the utmost importance: cancer research".
For Mrs. Maria Guzzo, President of Cinémas Guzzo Foundation, it is of
paramount importance to make a difference in the lives of people and to do so
by organizing various fundraisers. "In organizing the Notte In Bianco, I
wanted prominent figures from the world of business, politics and the artistic
community to live an exceptional experience by inviting them to the very first
event in classic "Hamptons Lifestyle" ever held in the Montréal Metropolitan
Area. In the magnificent surroundings of our private residence, our guests,
all dressed in white, will enjoy themselves while financially supporting
cancer prevention research. My encounter with the researcher Jack Siemiatycki,
who is currently the holder of the Guzzo Environment-Cancer Research Chair,
has convinced me that by investing in environment and cancer research, we will
enable future generations - our children - to live in a world where cancer
will no longer be feared."
According to Mr. Vincenzo Guzzo, Executive Vice-President & COO of
Cinémas Guzzo, who has seen both his father and mother struggle and win their
fight against cancer, although it is important to improve treatment, it is
crucial to find the causes of cancer. "Cinémas Guzzo's investment in the
creation of an Environment-Cancer Research Chair represents tangible proof of
the Guzzo Family's commitment to support the well-being of the community. The
Notte In Bianco is just another way of actively contributing to the fight
against cancer and, more specifically, to support The Cancer Research
Society."
