The Electronic Recycling Association continues to donate computers & laptops during difficult economic times.

CALGARY, May 1 /CNW/ - During these difficult economic times, the ERA
continues to work hard and maintain a positive attitude in the hope that they
will receive further support from businesses, schools, government departments
& individuals. While there has been a marked decrease in donations this year,
there has been a marked increase in charity donation requests which has far
exceeded any previous year. Despite this fact, the ERA has persevered and
ensured that there have been hundreds of computers & laptops donated to
charities across Canada, with many more to come.
This month the ERA is highlighting donations to Open Door Seniors, Medina
Islamic Centre & Calgary Coalition on Domestic Violence. These organizations
are in great need of laptops, computers & LCD screens to upgrade current
technology & help underprivileged youth in the community gain access to
technology.
The ERA is announcing a fantastic opportunity for businesses and
residents of Calgary to drop off their computer and electronic equipment at
any of their drop off locations across Alberta. Additionally, they offer a
pick-up service for larger scale donations. The ERA is proud to be hosting a
Community Round-Up Day in June in the Abbeydale Community in NE Calgary. This
event is being hosted by the Abbeydale Community Association & the City of
Calgary. Please contact the ERA for more details or if you would like to set
up a Charity Donation Event!
