TORONTO, Sept. 17 /CNW/ - The Daily Weekend Edition, a weekly current
affairs series produced in Vancouver, will tape a special election installment
for national broadcast.
VisionTV, Canada's multi-faith and multicultural television network, will
air The Daily Weekend Edition Presents: The Heart of the Matter - An Election
Special on Friday, Sept. 26 at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT.
The two-hour special will also air on VisionTV's sister stations Joytv 10
in Vancouver and Joytv 11 in Winnipeg on Sunday, Sept 28.
The broadcast, to be taped in Vancouver on Saturday, Sept. 20, will
feature candidates from all of Canada's national political parties. Green
Party leader Elizabeth May has confirmed her participation.
The special will explore candidates' personal beliefs, and examine how
these beliefs shape their understanding of government, democracy and the
issues that affect the lives of ordinary Canadians.
The program will include one-on-one interviews, a moderated panel
discussion, and a town hall session that will allow members of the audience to
direct questions to candidates.
The Daily Weekend Edition Presents: The Heart of the Matter will be
hosted and moderated by series host Todd Cantelon.

The Daily Weekend Edition is an hour-long weekly installment of the
Joytv/VisionTV current affairs series The Daily with Mark & Laura-Lynn. Its
regular airtimes are Sundays at 9 p.m. PT on Joytv 10, and Sundays at 7 p.m.
CT on Joytv 11. The series is also slated to begin airing nationally on
VisionTV later this season.
