The Casino de Montréal gives Québec's golfing elite a "swing"

MONTREAL, June 18 /CNW Telbec/ - The Casino de Montréal, interested in
encouraging Québec golfers that participate in the Omnium de Montréal
Desjardins, has decided to innovate this year by offering a support program
for elite and rising Québec players. The program is called L'Elan, and it will
allow four of the best players that make it to the third round of the Omnium
during the week of August 14-17 to continue to seek their dream by moving to
the next stage and qualifying on an international tour.
L'Elan is the helping hand extended by the Casino to Québec's elite
golfers and covers the Canadian Tour qualification registration costs for four
players at Ontario's Royal Ashburn from September 15-18, 2008. If a qualifying
player makes the Canadian Tour, the Casino de Montréal will invite that player
to try out for another International Tour of his choice.

    The Website

The Casino de Montréal invites golf lovers to visit omniumdemontreal.com
between June 10 and August 17 to vote for the four players that they believe
will have the best chance of qualifying for the final round of the Omnium de
Montréal Desjardins and the support of L'Elan. The contest will also give the
public the chance at winning tickets to the Omnium or participating in a
Pro-Am round with a professional Québec player. In addition, during the
Omnium, the "the Casino de Montréal Elan area" will become a hotspot for key
information on competing Québec golfers. Amateurs will be able to leave
messages for their favourite players and even meet them during autograph
sessions.
The Casino de Montréal understands the positive effect that the
international success of our own athletes can have on local sport. With this
original and unique concept that will develop even more in the coming years,
the Casino makes a contribution to the growth of golf in Québec. It also makes
it possible for local players to carve out a place for themselves on the
international circuit by giving them a helping hand, that is to say, a way to
extend their "swing" with new Elan!
