MONTREAL, Sept. 17 /CNW Telbec/ - September 28 marks the return of The
Address. Every Sunday morning, Quebec Premier Jean Charest and Mario Dumont,
Official Leader of the Opposition, will make their weekly speech, followed by
Pauline Marois, leader of the second opposition party.
"With the arrival of Marois on our program, we're achieving a goal we've
had for a year, which is to offer our listeners a complete political forum,"
said Mario Cecchini, vice-president of Corus Quebec. "This gives the leaders
of the three most important political parties in Quebec the opportunity to
speak directly to the public."
Continuing with the same format adopted by The Address from the Assembly
in September 2007, the three party leaders are free to choose their own
topics, based on current news or public concerns.
New broadcast hours: The Address from the Assembly will be broadcast from
12:30 PM to 1:00 PM on 98.5 FM and Info 690, on all Corus network stations in
Quebec and CHRC in Quebec and will be rebroadcast Sunday evenings from 6:30 PM
to 7:00 PM. The program follows Le Québec d'abord, hosted by Isabelle Maréchal
on 98,5 FM.
