GASPE, QC, Jan. 27 /CNW Telbec/ - The board of directors of the
Corporation for the Gaspé Celebrations is happy to announce that "Le Village
en chanson de Petite-Vallée" and its general manager, Mr Alan Côté will be in
charge of the program and artistic direction for the events surrounding the
475th anniversary celebrations.
Alan Côté and his team will be responsible for defining each activity and
supervising the people in charge of these events. Mr Côté brings to the
Corporation his expertise and his great knowledge of the artistic world.
For Ms Claudine Roy, president of the Corporation, there could not have
been a better addition to the team. "Alan is a professional, appreciated by
everyone. He developed his village through culture and it has become well-
known throughout Québec and France. He's a Gaspesian and a great resource for

the artistic and programming direction of the 475th Gaspé Celebrations is a

About Gaspé's 475th anniversary celebrations
With the homecoming theme as a backdrop, the celebrations commemorate the
475th anniversary of the arrival of Jacques Cartier in America, in the Bay of
Gaspé. A vibrant program will offer Gaspesians and visitors many occasions to
celebrate French culture in America and to proudly highlight Gaspé as Canada's

About the "Village en chanson de Petite-Vallée"
The "Village en chanson" is a nonprofit organization with 27 years in the
field of stage productions. Its principal elements are : "Le Théâtre de la
Vieille Forge", multidisciplinary presenters with productions such as the
famous: "Attention 4 chasseurs", a song training camp that welcomes teens and
adults from everywhere in Québec during the summer and of course, "Le Festival
en chanson de Petite-Vallée".
