SURREY, BC, Nov. 19 /CNW/ - Terasen Gas employees represented by the
Canadian Office and Professional Employees Union (COPE) Local 378 ratified a
collective agreement, ending limited job action that began on September 23.
The five-year agreement, in effect through March 31, 2012, covers 465
Terasen Gas employees working primarily in office and professional positions.
It includes wage increases of 14.8 per cent compounded over five years and
increases to benefits.
The employees that had been engaged in limited job action are returning
to work today. Terasen Gas is pleased to be moving forward as a team, focusing
on serving the more than 900,000 homes and businesses that rely on the safe
and reliable delivery of natural gas every day.
