Temple REIT announces appointment of two additional Trustees and Chief Financial Officer



    WINNIPEG, March 20 /CNW/ - Temple Real Estate Investment Trust ("TREIT")
(TSX-V: TR.UN) announced today the appointments of Messrs. David Drybrough and
Rod Marlin to the Board of Trustees and Mr. John Liddle as Chief Financial
Officer.
    Mr. David Drybrough, FCA was Vice President, Finance of Winnipeg based
Gendis Inc. from 1997 until his retirement in January 2004. Prior thereto,
Mr. Drybrough spent 24 years with Coopers & Lybrand, Chartered Accountants
(now PricewaterhousCoopers) until his retirement from public practice in 1997.
Mr. Drybrough currently serves as a Director of CanWest Global Communications
Corp. and is Chair of the Audit Committee. Mr. Drybrough also serves as a
Director and Chair of the Audit Committee of CanWest MediaWorks (Canada) Inc.,
as well as a Director and Chair of the Audit Committee of Fort Chicago Energy
Partners LP.
    Mr. Rod Marlin has been the President, Chief Executive Officer and
Trustee of Eveready Income Fund since its inception on March 31, 2005. From
2002 until March 31, 2005 Mr. Marlin was the President and Chair of Eveready
Industrial Group Ltd., which company completed a reverse take-over of Eveready
Income Fund on March 31, 2005. Prior thereto, Mr. Marlin was Chair and
Director of Eveready Industrial Services Corp. from 1995 to 2001. From 1967
until its sale in 1993, Mr. Marlin was the founder and President of Marlin
Travel Group.
    Mr. John Liddle, CGA is the Manager, Financial Reporting - Multi-Family
Rental, Condominium & Retirement Properties for Shelter Canadian Properties
Limited. Mr. Liddle has experience with U.S. public accounting reform and most
recently provided consulting services in regard to U.S. Sarbanes Oxley
legislation to New Flyer Industries Inc. and Dunlop Standard Aerospace.
Between 1977 and 1987, Mr. Liddle held the positions of Chief Financial
Officer and President of Metropol Security. Mr. Liddle was also Vice President
Administration of Reimer Express Enterprises Inc. for five years from 1987 to
1992. Subsequently, Mr. Liddle held positions in the capacity of Controller
for Transcontinental Printing Inc., Vice President Finance and Chief Financial
Officer of Ensis Growth Fund Inc. and Chief Executive Officer of Taylor
McCaffrey, a law firm in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Mr. Liddle replaces Mr. Gino
Romagnoli, who has served as the interim Chief Financial Officer since the
inception of TREIT. Mr. Romagnoli will continue to serve TREIT in an investor
relations capacity, as well as providing similar services for Huntingdon REIT
and Lanesborough REIT.
