MONTREAL, April 4 /CNW Telbec/ - The Association québécoise des
télédiffuseurs et radiodiffuseurs (AQTR) is proud to announce the third
edition of Télédiversité.
Founded in 2005 by Astral Media, TVA and TQS, Télédiversité is dedicated
to the reflection and portrayal of cultural diversity on private television in
Quebec. This annual event, which is aimed at both television industry
decision-makers and members of ethnocultural and Aboriginal communities who
are interested in the field of television, is an ideal opportunity to meet
people and to build relationships.
For the 2007 edition of Télédiversité, new sponsors have joined the
founding partners, including Corus Entertainment, APTN, RDS, Global Quebec, CH
Montreal, CHUM Limited, La Presse Télé, Sphère Média Plus, Zone3 and Canal
Evasion. Télédiversité 2007 is coordinated by Shanmugasunder Chetty, an
experienced journalist and television host, who belongs to Montreal's Indian
community. In addition to his planning and organizational responsibilities, he
will also be the event's spokesperson.
An opening reception for Télédiversité 2007 will take place on the
evening of June 5, 2007, followed by the conference itself on June 6. The
conference will include a television training fair, a "speed-dating"
networking session, and two panel discussions. Registration for the opening
reception and the conference is free.
