Technopôle Angus Applauds the International Growth of Helimax Energy, Wind Energy World Leader Established on Its Site

MONTREAL, Nov. 6 /CNW Telbec/ - Technopôle Angus is proud to have on its
site the Montreal-based company Helimax Energy, which has recently become a
world leader in wind energy thanks to its association with German firm
Germanischer Lloyd.
Helimax offers the wind energy industry a vast array of services,
including wind resource assessment, wind farm design, environmental impact
assessment and operation optimization. Its association with Germanischer Lloyd
now allows Helimax to offer its wider client-base an even more complete range
of services, including, among others, the certification of wind turbine and
components manufacturing.
Helimax has been established since 2002 at Technopôle Angus business park
where it has recently negotiated a new ten-year lease. Thanks to its
innovative approach, it significantly contributes to the repute and dynamism
of Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie's new economy.
"Helimax's growth is completely in line with the efforts we have put
forward over the past ten years, aiming to position Angus as a pole to be
reckoned with when it comes to economic development, innovation and
sustainable development in Quebec", said Christian Yaccarini, President and
Chief Executive Officer of Technopôle Angus. According to Mr. Yaccarini,
"Helimax Energy is among those businesses that have transformed the destiny of
an entire neighbourhood by introducing the new economy to the East-Central
sector of town."
By welcoming on its site innovative companies such as Helimax Energy,
Technopôle Angus expects to triple the surface area of its rental space over
the next ten years, thereby contributing to the creation of 1,500 additional
jobs. Over 200 million dollars will be invested in this neighbourhood, one
that has resolutely turned to sustainable development. The site now hosts
43 companies and institutions working in the areas of life sciences,
information technology, design, sustainable development, social economy,
occupational integration and business support services. The local impacts are
great. In fact, 1,050 people commute to it each day, almost 70% of whom live
in the eastern part of Montreal.
