TD Meloche Monnex proudly renews its support of the Jeux du COMMERCE, 20th edition

MONTREAL, Oct. 25 /CNW Telbec/ - For the second year in a row, TD Meloche
Monnex will be the main partner of the Jeux du Commerce, an annual
interuniversity competition bringing together the top management students from
13 universities in eastern Canada. The 20th edition of the Jeux will run from
January 4 to 6, 2008 at Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR). The
event will be presented under the theme "Innovation, the solution."
The 2008 Jeux du Commerce TD Meloche Monnex will welcome 1,400 students
and volunteers under the honorary presidency of Lyne Vaillancourt,
Vice President, Affinity Market Group, TD Meloche Monnex. "Our company is
pleased to team up with the Jeux du Commerce for a second year. I am extremely
proud to act as honorary president of this anniversary edition," said
Ms. Vaillancourt. "We are happy to invest our resources in an event that
highlights the talent and creativity of tomorrow's leaders, bringing them face
to face with the challenges inherent in maintaining the competitiveness of
Canadian businesses."
Mathieu Bélisle, UQTR marketing graduate and president of the organizing
committee, stressed TD Meloche Monnex's commitment to the student community.
"TD Meloche Monnex's renewed support is a true sign of confidence. The fact
that we can also count on the support of several other high-profile partners
testifies to the Jeux's credibility in the business world," he said.
Mr. Bélisle added that the 20th anniversary of the Jeux would be a
backdrop to the event. The organizing committee will do everything in its
power to make this a memorable event. The Jeux will kick off on January 4 with
the arrival of the flame and a huge parade in downtown Trois-Rivières. During
the event, students will square off against each other in academic cases from
ten different disciplines. A stock simulation, oral debate and sports events
will round out the program, along with a community component. The winners will
be announced at the closing gala on the evening of January 6.

    Innovation, guarantee of prosperity

For this 20th edition, the organizing committee decided to spotlight the
role of innovation in today's economy. The theme, "Innovation, the solution,"
will be the event's unifying principle. Asked to comment on this theme,
honorary president Lyne Vaillancourt said that innovation is vital to all
companies faced with competition if they want to continue to prosper. "The
business world has evolved and tomorrow's leaders will have the task of
reinventing companies," she said. Ms. Vaillancourt also pointed out that
innovation is one of the values TD Meloche Monnex has embraced to stimulate
its expansion. "It was a flair for innovation that enabled us to develop our
exclusive business model, expand our growth potential and become a national
reference in affinity marketing," she added.
