Services in Laval are now more accessible than ever

LAVAL, QC, Sept. 24 /CNW/ - TD Bank Financial Group officially opened its
business centre in the Laval Centropolis today. More than 250 people attended

at the business centre.
Features of the business centre include:

    - A modern and spacious new branch design with four automated banking
machines (ABMs) including one drive-through ABM. At one convenient
location, customers may benefit from the advice of a Financial
Planner, an Investment Advisor and two Small Business Account
        Managers.
    - A commercial banking centre with 14 employees available to service
Laval and the North Shore markets, plus a commercial deposit machine
for quick deposits for commercial banking customers.
    - A TD Waterhouse discount brokerage office that will offer, among
other services, on-line brokerage seminars and demonstrations to
        customers.
    - A TD Insurance Home and Auto call centre to be located in a building
close to the business centre. Scheduled to open at the end of
October, the office will serve the Quebec market and employ more than
150 people, making TD Insurance Home and Auto one of the largest
employers in Centropolis. In the near future TD Insurance Home and
Auto plans to create new jobs, as the new location offers the
capacity for greater expansion. It will also provide personnel with a
welcoming working environment thanks to the innovative layout, work
        stations and rest areas.

"We've opened seven TD Canada Trust branches in the past three years in
Laval and the North Shore, and our customer base is growing rapidly," said
Bernard Dorval, Group Head Business Banking & Insurance and Co-Chair TD Canada
Trust, TD Bank Financial Group. "By establishing a business centre in the
Centropolis we are poised to provide a wider range of services to existing
customers and attract new customers. In addition, TD Insurance Home and Auto
is becoming the undisputed leader in home and automobile insurance in Laval
and the North Shore."
TD Canada Trust now has 12 branches to service the Laval and North Shore
markets. To support its growth in personal banking services, TD Canada Trust
plans to open two additional branches in the Laval region - one in Boisbriand
and another in Ste-Rose.
In recent years, TD has been enjoying strong growth and it intends on
continuing to offer increasingly accessible services. With this in mind,
starting on November 1, 2007 the business hours of TD Canada Trust will be
extended to 62 or more hours per week. In addition to providing greater
accessibility, the extended hours initiative will create more than 160 new
full-time jobs in Quebec.

recently won a third consecutive Synovate award for best customer service, and
was ranked highest in customer satisfaction among Canadian banks in the J.D.
Power and Associates 2007 Canadian Retail Banking Customer Satisfaction Study
for the second year in a row.
Finally, as part of the reception, TD presented a $25,000 donation to
Fondation Cité de la Santé, with the funds going to a fight-against-cancer
