TD Bank Financial Group Enlists General (Retired) Rick Hillier



    TORONTO, Sept. 3 /CNW/ - TD Bank Financial Group has enlisted General
(Retired) Rick Hillier to support initiatives that enhance the client and
customer experience. This announcement marks the General's first partnership
with a financial institution.

CEO of TD Bank. "His distinguished military career will be a great source of

    The General will work part-time out of a TD office in Ottawa, and may
also be called upon to assist the Bank's ongoing leadership development and
training activities.

    General (Retired) Hillier's military career has spanned over three
decades. He retired on July 1, 2008 as Chief of the Defence Staff for the
Canadian Forces. Previous to this, the General served throughout Canada,
including leading the Canadian Forces' commitment to the Quebec Ice Storm in
1998. He has also served with the United Nations and NATO forces in the former
Yugoslavia and in Afghanistan.
