VICTORIA, April 27 /CNW/ - Tactex Controls Inc. announced today that it
has won the initial manufacturing contract for a new consumer electronics
product due out in 2007. The Tactex client has decided to move ahead with
manufacturing after testing their market with a pre-production prototype that
was developed by Tactex earlier this year.
The manufacturing project follows several months of collaboration between
the client and Tactex. The first pre-production units were delivered to the
customer in February 2007. Work is also currently under way to develop the
next generation of the product with battery operated and wireless
Tactex has provided a solution which takes full advantage of Kinotex(R)
sensor technology, says Tactex President and CEO David Lokhorst. "Kinotex(R)
allows for the kind of rapid response and light touch that is required by many
consumer electronics products. It is also a highly adaptable technology. Our
engineering team is able to work in close consultation with clients to develop
solutions that meet their specific design and performance requirements."
