"We do think, naively or not, that we can change the world"
TORONTO, April 12 /CNW/ - For a fourth straight year, the employees at
T4G Limited have been recognized for their creativity, passion and
dedication as the company is again named to the annual Best Workplaces
in Canada list.
And T4G, a leading North American full-service, project-based technology
services company, is for the first time ranked in the Top 10 by the
Great Workplace Institute Canada.
"This tremendous recognition is all about the great people who choose to
come together and collaborate here to build some of the most creative
solutions in our industry and add to our unique culture," says T4G
President Geoff Flood.
"We do think, naively or not, that we can change the world. And we
attract like-minded, bright people from all across North America who
divide tasks and multiply successes. We refuse to separate business
from community. We believe we can build creative solutions to help
customers succeed at the same time as fostering local community
programs where we live," adds Mr. Flood.
This socially responsible attitude toward the environment and giving
back to its communities is real and part of the corporate foundation. A
division of the company called the Future Focus Foundation is a
registered charity. It has raised and given away more than $1 million
to charities that help young people succeed.
T4G moved up into the 8th position - its highest standing to date - among the 84 companies with
fewer than 1,000 employees. Google Canada topped this list. For the
first time, big companies with more than 1,000 employees were split
into a separate category with Microsoft Canada heading that list of 16
T4G first entered the Best Workplaces list in 2008 at 28th position and has steadily moved up each year.
Organizations on this year's list were ranked using the results of an
employee survey, the Trust Index©, developed by global research firm Great Place to Work® Institute. This methodology is utilized by more than 5,000
organizations each year, making it the most widely adopted workforce
satisfaction tool in the world.
The Best Workplaces winners were featured in today's Globe and Mail
newspaper. Some 50,000 employees at Canadian companies are randomly
selected to complete a survey and then all applying companies face an
in-depth review of their culture and procedures by the Great Workplace
Says Mr. Flood, "Everyone at T4G has a 'Go Do' attitude to put their
hearts into the work and do the right thing for our customers at all
times. We embrace change and refuse wasting time and money. We
recognize that the quality of the team defines the quality of the
solution. We want to be at the forefront in areas that matter most to
our people, our clients and our communities."
T4G now has 260 employees with information technology capabilities
spanning business intelligence, infrastructure & security, software
development & integration, content delivery, mobile solutions, social
media strategy & management, portals & collaboration, user experience
With its strategy to open offices in communities where smart people want
to live and raise families, T4G aims to add to its current locations in
Halifax, Moncton, Fredericton, Saint John, Saco, Maine, Toronto and
Committed to winning the war for talent, T4G plans on 350 employees by
yearend and urges technology professionals who want to find out why T4G
is one of the top 10 best workplaces in Canada to visit the company
website and check out the Careers section.
More announcements are expected at the June 8 annual general meeting of
the privately-held company at the Royal Conservatory in Toronto.
