Synovate ranks TD Canada Trust No. 1 in customer service among Canada's big banks for 4th year in a row in 2008 Best Banking Awards

    TORONTO, Sept. 2 /CNW/ - TD Canada Trust has been ranked No. 1 in
customer service excellence among the top 5 banks for the fourth year in a row
by global market research firm Synovate.
    This year's Synovate Customer Service Index (CSI) survey, conducted
quarterly among a sample of 35,000 Canadians beginning in November 2007,
ranked the top five banks in eleven Best Banking Awards categories. TD Canada
Trust was the sole winner in six of them, and shared top ranking in the rest.

    In November 2007, TD Canada Trust, already the hours leader among the
banks in Canada, boosted service to customers with even longer hours. Now most
branches coast to coast are open 62+ hours a week, including Saturdays - 50%
longer than the other banks. And with almost 100 new branches in the last
three years alone, Canada's "comfortable" bank is also Canada's fastest
growing bank.

    The Synovate award comes right on the heels of another major customer
service award for the bank. Late last week, J.D. Power and Associates
announced that TD Canada Trust is the best in customer satisfaction among the
