Survey tool helps companies understand what makes employees tick



    TORONTO, Jan. 28 /CNW/ - The Beacon Group has launched the Employee
Survey (ES) web-based tool that can be easily and effectively deployed at
small and mid-sized businesses to combat the growing trend of burnt out and
disengaged employees.

    28% of Canadians say their employers are only average.

    8% of Canadians say their employers deserve a below average score.

    According to the same poll from RBC conducted in November 2007, 18% of
Canadians find their workplace depressing and another 15% are completely bored
at work. It's clear Canadian employers are facing lower levels of employee
engagement in an increasingly competitive and global "war for talent".
    "Small and mid-size businesses are particularly vulnerable to lower
