Support CBC/Calgary Reads' Annual Book Sale



    CALGARY, April 29 /CNW/ - From May 1-3 2009, Calgary Reads is holding its
annual book sale in at the Triwood arena in support of its programs. Come find
the gems and bargains amongst the quality fiction and non-fiction books for
all ages. All proceeds of the used book sale are in support of Calgary Reads'
early literacy programs.

    
    When:  May 1 - 3

           Friday, May 1st: 6:00pm - 9:00pm
           Saturday, May 2nd: 9:00am - 4:00pm
           Sunday, May 3rd: 9:00am - 4:00pm

    Where: Triwood Arena - 2244 Chicoutimi Drive NW
    

    Calgary Reads is an early literacy initiative that changes the lives of
struggling grade two readers and their families in Calgary and area schools.
In the 2007-08 school year over 450 children were served in 65 schools using
more than 250 trained tutors. Finding great books at good prices is even
better when you know your purchases are funding literacy programs in your
community!
    There will be a $2/adult entry donation.
