TORONTO, Oct. 17 /CNW/ - Suncor Energy has been recognized by the Ontario
Chamber of Commerce with an Outstanding Business Achievement Award. This award
will be presented to Suncor on October 23 in Toronto, at a gala event to
recognize business excellence in Ontario.
This award acknowledges Suncor's commitment to providing sustainable
energy options for Ontario. In the past three years, Suncor has invested more
than $1.4 billion in the province, including the development of Canada's
largest ethanol production facility, upgrades to its Sarnia refinery and
Sunoco retail sites, and the recent opening of Suncor's first wind power
project in Ontario, a 76-megawatt facility on the eastern shores of Lake
