Students plant trees at Toyota to celebrate Environment Week

TORONTO, June 2 /CNW/ - Students from Guildwood Junior Public School will
be rolling up their sleeves and cultivating their green thumbs when they plant
trees at the Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) head office as part of Toyota's
celebration of Environment Week.
Toyota has a long-standing, global commitment to environmental action. In
Canada, TCI supports numerous national and community-based environmental
initiatives. These include the Toyota Evergreen Learning Grounds program,
through which TCI and Toyota Dealers across the country have contributed more
than $1.9 million over the past eight years. These contributions have helped
to transform almost 1,500 concrete school grounds into natural spaces and
living laboratories for 1.2 million children.
