HALIFAX, July 9 /CNW/ - Bell Aliant Regional Communications Income Fund
("Bell Aliant" or the "Fund")(1) (TSX: BA.UN) announced today that Stephen
Wetmore, President and Chief Executive Officer of Bell Aliant, will be leaving
his position effective December 31, 2008.
Mr. Wetmore is the first Chief Executive Officer of Bell Aliant, having
led the company from its formation in July 2006. "Stephen has made a
tremendous contribution to Bell Aliant. He has unified the company and set it
on a clear path having established its top priority: customer service. As a
result of his work, the company has strong foundations for the future. On
behalf of the entire Board, I want to thank him for his singular contribution.
