LAVAL, QC, April 25 /CNW/ - Stellar Pacific Ventures (SPX) is pleased to
announce that it is preparing a new phase of drilling on its Vassan Property
located within the Val d'Or gold mining camp. The company expects to complete
4,500 metres of drilling within the next few months. The drilling will be
aimed at delineating the Hamelin mineralized structure towards the east and at
depth. More specifically, the drilling will target the extensions of the
intercepts obtained in the last two holes of the 2006 fall campaign.
Last fall, hole V2006-12 returned 10.43 g/t Au, 6.6 g/t Ag and 0.64% Cu
over 1 metre while hole V2006-13 gave 16.03 g/t Au over 0.33 metre and
5.86 g/t Au over 0.62 metre. The 2006 fall program demonstrated that the
Hamelin structure is continuous from surface down to the 550 m level and that
it is still open at depth and towards the east.
It is important to remember that a down hole geophysical survey detected
the structure in hole V2006-10, located more than 200 m to the east of
V2006-13, indicating that it is most probably extending in that direction for
a fair distance.
