Steelworkers ratify agreement with Trenergy Inc.

ST. CATHARINES, ON, Aug. 18 /CNW/ - United Steelworkers' (USW)
Ontario/Atlantic Director Wayne Fraser announced Monday that 105 members of
USW Local 6519 have ratified a new, three-year agreement with St. Catharines
boiler manufacturer Trenergy Inc.
The agreement increases current wages of $22.68 by a total of nine per

pensions, vision care, paid holidays, premiums for work done in confined
spaces, along with early retiree group benefit coverage.
Trenergy has recently had a change in ownership and Local 6519 President

relationship between the new company and the union.
"The end result is a quality agreement for our members and we look
forward to working with the new owners," Kocis said.

Canada's most diverse union, the USW represents more than 280,000 men and
