Statement released by T. Douglas Willock

TORONTO, Feb. 2 /CNW/ - T. Douglas Willock today released the following
statement:
"It is with great regret that I inform the shareholders of Polar Star
Mining Corporation that I was terminated as President and CEO of Polar Star on
Friday, January 30, 2009. I was advised that my dismissal was the direct
result of my requisition for a shareholders' meeting that was delivered to the
board of Polar Star last Monday. No other reason was provided.
It has been a week since my requisition, and the board of directors has
not yet called a shareholders' meeting. I also believe that the board may be
engaging in other defensive tactics to entrench themselves notwithstanding the
unequivocal pronouncement for change made by a significant number of Polar
Star shareholders.
I am pleased to report to the shareholders of Polar Star that I am
continuing in my fight to restore shareholder and stakeholder confidence in
Polar Star. I continue to be humbled by the overwhelming and continued support
I am receiving from shareholders and stakeholders. I am conferring with both
counsel and other shareholders and will be communicating with you again soon."
