Statement by Assembly of First Nations National Chief regarding the tragic deaths of two girls on the Yellow Quill First Nation



    OTTAWA, Jan. 31 /CNW Telbec/ - "On behalf of all First Nations in Canada,
I would like to express our collective shock, sadness and profound sense of
loss for the tragic deaths of Cadence and Santana Pauchay on the Yellow Quill
First Nation. This is not only a loss felt by First Nations, but also by all
Canadians.
    Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Pauchay family, the entire Yellow
Quill community, and all First Nations who have been touched by the loss of
these two innocent children. We offer our most sincere condolences to you
during this most difficult time of grieving."

    The Assembly of First Nations is the national organization representing
First Nations citizens in Canada.
