Star Navigation: Litigation against Aeromechanical Services Ltd. (TSX. AMA-V) continues with procedural tactics response to complaint

    TSX Venture Exchange Symbol: SNA

TORONTO, Dec. 6 /CNW/ - Star Navigation Systems Group, Ltd (Star), has
learned that Aeromechanical Services Ltd. ("AMS") announced yesterday that it
has filed a motion to dismiss the recent patent infringement lawsuit brought
against it by Star Navigation Systems Group, Ltd. ("Star") in the U.S.
District Court for the Northern District of California. This reaction (from
AMS) is fairly common and was expected.
In reviewing this filing and AMS' press release, Star Navigation expects
that AMS' procedural arguments relating to personal jurisdiction and standing
will be rejected by the court based on the facts surrounding the litigation.
Star Navigation maintains that its rights to U.S. Patent No. 7,113,852 ("the
'852 Patent") give it legal standing to assert infringement.
Star Navigation remains confident that the courts will agree with its
position that AMS is infringing the '852 patent.
Additionally, reexamination request for AMS' U.S. Patent No. 7,203,630
has been resubmitted to the United States Patent and Trademark Office
("USPTO") under the direction of the USPTO. Thus, Star Navigation expects the
USPTO to formally consider the request as early as February 2008.
