elected chairman of the Board of the Association for Financial Professionals
of Canada (AFPC) at the AFPC Board meeting on October 21, 2007.
Stanley, CMA, is Vice President and Treasurer of Samuel Manu-Tech Inc.
(SMT). Over the past 30 years, he has held various executive positions at SMT
and Delmonte (Canada) in acquisitions, financial reporting, risk management
and treasury. Stanley is also chairman of the Society of Canadian Treasurers.
He has served as a member of the Association for Financial Professionals
(AFP) Global Treasurers Forum task force and as a speaker at many industry
forums, including the AFP Annual Conference.
Joining Stanley in the leadership of AFPC are two vice chairmen: Stanley
Pasternak, Senior Vice President and Treasurer of Canadian Tire Corporation,
Ltd. and Anne Marie Gill, Treasury Manager, Jacques Whitford, Ltd. Stanley
and the vice chairmen will serve through 2008.
