TORONTO, Aug. 26 /CNW/ - Standard & Poor's Canadian Index Operations
announces the following index changes:
- The shareholders of Skye Resources Inc. (TSX:SKR) have accepted the
share exchange offer from HudBay Minerals Inc. (TSX:HBM). Skye
Resources shareholders will receive 0.61 common shares of HudBay
Minerals for each share held. Skye Resources will be removed from the
S&P/TSX SmallCap, Equity SmallCap and Global Mining indices after the
close of trading on Wednesday, August 27, 2008. The relative weight
of HudBay Minerals Inc. (TSX:HBM) will increase in the S&P/TSX Global
Mining Index to reflect the issuance of shares as part of the
acquisition of Skye Resources.
Company additions to and deletions from an S&P equity index do not in any
way reflect an opinion on the investment merits of the company.
