The Stade de France celebrates its 10th anniversary in an amazing way
with images that will be seen all over the world. It will be a symbol and a
thank you to all the fans, players, athletes and artists that helped give the
Stade de France its legendary status.

    10 Years of Emotion

Today (January 28) Zinedine Zidane stepped onto the Stade de France field
exactly 10 years after the opening France-Spain match. Ten years after his
first goal in the Stade de France, Zinedine Zidane has scored again. From the
center of the pitch, he kicked the ball... and set off a giant fireworks
display that lit up the whole stadium.
From above, the Stade de France was turned into a giant flashy "10". The
beams of light symbolize the passion and the emotion that are engraved into
the Stade de France.
The 24,000 neon lights lighting the square will form a giant "1" that is
1.5 km long!
More than 3,500 StarFlash strobes have been attached to 7 km of cable
circling the zero formed by the stadium's roof. In all, 20,000 m(2) of surface
will be ablaze in light... It is an incredible sight from the sky!
The Stade de France is marking 10 years of emotion, passion and thrills
and is thanking its 15 million visitors. 2008 will be filled with celebrations
and surprises. The best is yet to come.
