Venture:SPY), a provider of intelligence based risk mitigation software and
services announced today that together with the Financial Intelligence Unit
("FIU") of the government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, it will co-host
an international conference on combating money laundering and terrorist
financing through the use of intelligence based technology solutions.
The conference, "Money Laundering & Terrorism - Exploring Technological
Solutions," will be held on the Island of St. Vincent and the Grenadines on
November 13-14, 2007 and will be the second of its kind hosted by Sprylogics
and the St. Vincent FIU. The previous conference attracted participants from
over 10 countries in the region and was launched by The Honorable Judith
Jones- Morgan, Attorney General of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Ms. Sharda
Bollers, Director of the St. Vincent FIU and Avi Shachar, President of
Representatives from the government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines
will open this year's conference. Addressing the participants will be
internationally recognized experts on anti-money laundering, anti-terrorism
and intelligence software including Chief Superintendent (Retired) Ben Soave,
a 35 year veteran of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and an
internationally recognized innovator in the field of law enforcement and Mr.
Richard Miniter, an internationally recognized expert on terrorism and the
author of two New York Times bestselling books, Losing bin Laden and Shadow
War. Representatives from Sprylogics will showcase a number of intelligence
based technology solutions for combating money laundering and terrorist
Financial Intelligence Units, government and law enforcement agencies
from the Eastern Caribbean and regional and international financial
institutions will attend the conference. Representatives from the USA and
Canada will also attend.
A number of government agencies in the Caribbean including the FIU's of
St. Vincent and the Grenadines, St. Lucia, British Virgin Islands and Cayman
Islands are already using anti-money laundering solutions developed by SII.
