Spreading the Spirit of the Season - The Children's Aid Foundation hosts the 28th annual Holiday Season Celebration for foster children and their families



    TORONTO, Dec. 9 /CNW/ - On Sunday, December 9th, 2007, more than 1,000
foster children and their families which will gather at the Fairmont Royal
York Hotel in downtown Toronto for the 28th annual Holiday Season Celebration.
Hosted by the Children's Aid Foundation and sponsored by Pepsi-QTG, the event
will include a screening of a newly released children's movie, games, face
painting, cookie decorating, a dance party, a tasty lunch and a visit from
Santa.
    "The Holiday Season Celebration is the highlight of the year for many of
the children and youth we serve," says Sheilagh Johnson, Executive Director of
the Children's Aid Foundation. "Every child deserves an opportunity to enjoy
the holidays and our annual holiday party allows hundreds of children in care
of child welfare agencies in the Toronto area to enjoy the spirit of the
season."
    The party kicks off at 9:30am with registration for the movie which
begins shortly thereafter in the Concert Hall. Beginning at 12:00pm, children
and their families can enjoy lunch in the Ontario Room and an afternoon of fun
and games in the Canada Room, including a chance to have their picture taken
with Santa and meet Carlton, the Toronto Maple Leafs mascot. Each child will
receive a gift bag of toys and treats to take home at the end of the day.
    The Children's Aid Foundation would like to thank the following sponsors
