LONDON, ON, Sept. 11 /CNW/ - On Monday evening, September 14 2009, the
South West Local Health Integration Network (LHIN) is hosting a public session
at the Davidson Centre in Kincardine.
This session is one of 17 public forums being held across the South West
LHIN, which stretches from Tobermory to Lake Erie. The purpose of these forums
is to solicit the public's input on our second Integrated Health Service Plan
(IHSP). The LHIN will be developing its second IHSP over the next few months.
This three year strategic plan will guide the activities of the LHIN in the
period from 2010-2013.
The LHIN is holding these public sessions to:
- Share information about current trends and issues
- Listen to your ideas and concerns about the health care system
- Celebrate recent enhancements to the health care system
- Receive your feedback on proposed priority areas for improvements
The format of all the public forums to date has included four stations
where LHIN staff make a brief presentation, followed by a question and answer
session. Each station covers a different topic:
- About the LHIN
- Health care trends
- Ideas about our Integrated Health Service Plan
- Ideas about how health care will be delivered in the future
In addition to LHIN staff, representatives from the LHIN Board of
Directors will also be on hand to answer questions.
This is your opportunity to hear about the LHIN and to provide input to
the future of local health care. Please plan to attend on Monday evening,
September 14th 2009, at 7:00 pm at the Davidson Centre, 601 Durham Street,
