Softchoice Completes Acquisition of NexInnovations Inc.



    TORONTO, Oct. 12 /CNW/ - Softchoice Corp. (TSX: SO), one of North
America's leading providers of technology products and services, is delighted
to announce it has received all necessary regulatory and court approvals to
complete the acquisition of the technology solutions and products division of
NexInnovations Inc. and therefore the transaction has closed today. This
acquisition bolsters Softchoice's position as Canada's top technology provider
to enterprise customers and is expected to be accretive to shareholder value
in 2008.

    Under the terms of the Agreement, Softchoice is acquiring the records,
authorizations and certifications related to NexInnovations' technology
solutions and products division. The agreement does not include
NexInnovations' break-fix services division, which will continue to be
operated by NexInnovations Inc.
    Launched in 1978, NexInnovations established itself as a leading provider
of information technology infrastructure and consulting services to Canadian
enterprise customers. On a trailing 12-month basis, the gross revenue of
NexInnovations' technology solutions products division is estimated at
approximately $200 million.
