Sofame Enhances U.S. Sales Team and Begins to Actively Promote Turn-key Financed Energy Efficiency Solutions to Multinational Companies



    MONTREAL, April 30 /CNW Telbec/ - Sofame Technologies Inc. (TSX-V: SDW),
a leading manufacturer of energy efficient commercial-industrial hot water
heating and waste heat recovery equipment, has engaged the services of two
seasoned sales professionals in the USA to reduce the long sales cycle of its
custom-engineered products. Sofame will also begin to actively promote its
turn-key financed energy efficiency solutions to multinational companies at
the head office level.
    James Olson joins Sofame as Sales Director - EPC & Turn-key Contracts,
and will promote the shared savings model where Sofame customers pay nothing
and share the energy savings with Sofame Finance over a ten year contract. Mr.
Olson holds a BS and MBA and has acquired over 35 years of HVAC industry
experience after serving in the US Navy, and then working as a mechanical
contractor for many years before rising through senior sales management
positions with Pacific Gas & Electric and Duke Energy. He was most recently in
charge of Business Development at Johnson Controls in the Building Efficiency
Group dealing specifically with industrial energy efficiency.
    Robert Aldridge holds a BS in Marketing and MBA in Finance and joins
Sofame as Sales Director - National Accounts, to promote the shared savings
model and fully-financed energy savings solutions to head offices of
multinational corporations across North America. Mr. Aldridge has spent 25
years working in syndications and vendor financing for major corporation
including AT&T, Sun Data and Bombardier Capital where he was responsible for
marketing leased executive aircraft to CEO's and CFO's of major corporations.
Since 2001, Mr. Aldridge has acted as a broker and agent in corporate leasing
transactions.
    Sofame has expanded its network of Manufacturers Representatives from
four in late 2007 to twelve today covering twenty US states and four Canadian
provinces, and that expansion is continuing. With strong support at the plant
level, the sales effort must now move to the head offices of corporations with
multiple plants who must reduce energy costs and cut carbon emissions. Sofame
Finance offers 100% financing of Sofame's equipment including engineering,
installation and maintenance. Customers receive a portion of the energy
savings in year one.
