Smartcool Receives 1,000 Unit Order For ECO(3)(TM) From North American Distributor

Smartcool's revolutionary ECO(3)(TM) technology has the Utilities and
Municipal Governments "California Dreaming" of Energy Savings

VANCOUVER, June 18 /CNW/ - Smartcool Systems Inc. (TSXV: SSC) is pleased
to announce it has received an order for 1,000 units of its ECO(3)(TM)
technology from ATI Airtest Technologies, a non-exclusive distributor of
Smartcool's products in the North America region. This order will be used to
fulfill the initial stages of a more comprehensive environmental refit program
that is currently being carried out by the Energy Innovation Group ("EIG")
with numerous utilities and municipal governements in Southern California. The
program includes significant utility incentives for the retrofit of private
and public buildings, as well as schools, to help reduce overall energy use
and expenditures.
"The progress being made by Airtest in marketing the ECO(3)(TM) is a
clear indication that the product addresses the needs of those that require a
reduction in energy use and strict control of their electricity costs," stated
George Burnes, President of Smartcool Systems Inc. "Airtest has been able to
utilize their existing sales channels effectively to introduce our energy
efficiency devices and this order further endorses our decision to create the
distribution relationship."
ECO(3)(TM) is a revolutionary product specifically developed as a state
of the art, secondary controller for air conditioning and refrigeration
systems. It provides extensive cost savings and environmental benefits by
optimizing the energy efficiency of air conditioning and refrigeration systems
with one or two compressors. These cooling units are found in millions of
buildings worldwide that includes telecom providers, retailers, restaurants,
grocery and convenience stores, hotels, branch offices and other small
commercial spaces, and residences. "Until now there has not been a viable way
to improve the performance of smaller compressor based air conditioning and
refrigeration equipment. The ECO(3)(TM) opens up a vast new market for energy
upgrades that offers us an awesome potential for ongoing sales", said Sid
Pelston, President of EIG.
"Being recognized by a group such as EIG is a major achievement for
Smartcool and our technology," added Chris Lefaivre, VP of Sales for Smartcool
Systems Inc. "Both Airtest and EIG are visionaries in the field of energy
efficiency technologies. The inroads being made due to our relationship with
these groups certainly bodes well for future projects, especially in
California."
