TORONTO, June 22 /CNW/ - With the return to Toronto last night of Flight
859 from Zagreb, Croatia, Skyservice Airlines completed the second of its
newly launched direct scheduled services from Toronto to Eastern Europe.
The round trip to Zagreb operated flawlessly, staffed with crew members
fluent in Croatian and other Eastern European languages.
"These flights represent the most direct and fastest routing from
anywhere in North America with connections through Toronto." said Rob Giguere,
President and COO of Skyservice Airlines who saw the first flight off
Wednesday night. "It was clear from the passengers on the first flight there
is an excitement in the Croatian community that Skyservice is offering direct
service from Canada. We are looking forward to these scheduled routes becoming
a popular vacation choice for travelers looking for interesting and well
priced vacation options for Europe. The Adriatic coast in particular is a
remarkable vacation destination that is growing in popularity as a favorite

who was on board the first flight to Zagreb was met with an enthusiastic
welcome at the Zagreb airport followed by a reception at the airport. Ms.
Mance, who was born in Croatia and has very close ties to the community said,

has been welcomed by my community."
Skyservice Flight 858 will depart Wednesdays from Toronto at 22:45
arriving in Zagreb at 15:00. The return, Flight 859 departs Zagreb Thursdays
at 19:00 arriving Toronto at 00:34.
Giguere emphasized that Skyservice has operated charter flights to
several points in Europe for over 10 years and commenced charter service to
Zagreb in 2004.
The new scheduled service will complement the existing range of services
offered by his carrier.
He said. "Additionally, we are very pleased with the support we have
received from members of the travel industry who focus on Eastern European
travel. Our booked load factors are high and many of our flights departing
Canada are close to full."
These new services, operating with Boeing aircraft, will feature
