- Major Retailer With 1,000+ Stores First to Take to Market
LAS VEGAS, April 19 /CNW/ -- Skinvisible, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: SKVI)
(Website: www.skinvisible.com) is pleased to announce its licensee JD Nelson &
Associates has begun its penetration of the Canadian retail market with
Safe4Hours(R), its antimicrobial sanitizing lotion/skin protectant.
JD Nelson & Associates has the exclusive license in North America to
produce, market and distribute Safe4Hours. Independent studies have
demonstrated the lotions unique ability to bind active ingredients to the skin
for up to four hours and longer, even after repeated hand washings. The
antimicrobial properties of the active ingredient Triclosan(R), has proven to
kill most harmful bacteria. A small amount of Safe4Hours every 4 hours
protects a person from unwanted germs not only on contact but for up to 4
hours, a real plus for someone working in the healthcare industry or just out
shopping for the afternoon. It's peace of mind protection.
"JD Nelson has hit the ground running with Safe4Hours in Canada," said
Mr. Terry Howlett, President and CEO of Skinvisible. "Large retailers like
Home Hardware with more than 1000 retail stores, will be selling the product
effective immediately. In addition they expect to announce other major
pharmacies and retailers will carry the product shortly."
"Once the customer experiences the antimicrobial sanitizing lotion/skin
protectant in a lotion format, they will never go back to an alcohol based
sanitizer," said Mr. Doug Nelson, President and CEO of JD Nelson & Associates.
"The best way to eliminate germs and bacteria is still to wash your hands, but
what we keep hearing is how people appreciate that with the added advantage of
Invisicare, they don't have to keep reapplying the product every time they
wash their hands or come in contact with germs. Since Safe4Hours is in a
lotion format with no alcohol, there is also no drying effect.
Skinvisible's business model is focused on licensing its proprietary
formulations with Invisicare to pharmaceutical and cosmeceutical companies as
well as assisting companies in revitalizing or enhancing their existing skin
care products. In addition to the polymer revenue, Skinvisible receives a
combination of research and development fees, upfront license fees, and
ongoing royalties for the life of the patents.
Skinvisible has patented its technology and trademarked its polymer
delivery system Invisicare(R). Invisicare is a combination of hydrophilic and
hydrophobic polymers that hold active ingredients on the skin for extended
periods of time. They are non-occlusive and allow normal skin respiration and
perspiration while moisturizing and protecting against exposure from a wide
variety of environmental irritants. See: www.invisicare.com
