    TORONTO, Feb. 2 /CNW/ - SIRIUS Canada, the country's leading satellite
radio company, today announced it will broadcast Canadian Blast(R) - a live
concert event celebrating Canadian music excellence on the occasion of the
51st Annual GRAMMY Awards(R). The concert, part of The Consul General of
Canada's Showcase and Celebration of Canadian Music Excellence will be held at
the Official Residence for Canada in Los Angeles on February 5, 2009 during
GRAMMY(R) Week and includes recognition of this year's 12 Canadian GRAMMY
nominees as well as the additional 4 nominations with a Canadian connection.
    Hosted by SIRIUS Canada / CBC Radio 3's Grant Lawrence, the Canadian
Blast concert broadcast will feature live performances by emerging Canadian
musicians Jenn Grant, Plants & Animals and Shad, and will honour Canadian
artists nominated for the 2009 GRAMMY Awards. The exclusive broadcast will air
live on SIRIUS Satellite Radio's CBC Radio 3 channel 86 at 8 p.m. ET on
Thursday February 5, 2009.
