WASHINGTON, June 9 /CNW/ -- The International Policy Governance(R)
Association (IPGA) announced the selection of Sharon Boesen as their CEO.
"The IPGA Board is very pleased that we were able to find such a well
rounded candidate as Sharon. After an extensive search involving both
individuals and management firms, we felt that she possessed all the qualities
that we needed in order to keep our organization moving in the right
direction," said Mike Conduff, President and CEO of The Elim Group, and Chief
Governing Officer for IPGA.
A resident of Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., Boesen holds an MS in
Marketing Management. She is the Vice-President at Tiber Creek Associates of
Capitol Hill, Inc., the consulting firm hired by IPGA to manage and to provide
additional support to the Board and membership.
"I'm excited to work with IPGA. The association has seen dynamic growth
over the past ten years, and we will continue to provide excellent services to
our members. I look forward to a memorable tenth anniversary year for IPGA,"
IPGA creates owner-accountable, effective governance through a model that
ensures that boards operate successfully in their servant leader role. By
using the Policy Governance(R) model, boards are relieved of daily pressures
and can focus on big picture issues while the CEO and staff handle day to day
operations within a pre-defined framework.
"This governance model provides leadership for boards of every size,"
says Boesen. "The result is greater efficiency and profitability at every
level." The 2009 IPGA Conference will take place July 8th-12th in Montreal,
