stocked up on various toppings believed to be natural aphrodisiacs,
ingredients a growing number of experts say can lead to a heightened state of
Many of the world's most powerful aphrodisiacs are natural ingredients
commonly found in pizza. Tomatoes, for example, were known as "love apples" by
the French. For centuries, it was feared to be poisonous, but its deep red
colour paired with its sweet and tangy flesh, represents all the qualities of
a perfect aphrodisiac. Another provocative food, olives were believed to be a
powerful love-enhancer by the Greeks. Today, you can find kalamata olives on
Pizza 73's Lite and Grand Slam pizzas.
Other pizza toppings believed to stir the passions include onions and
pineapple, though none seem to compare to the qualities of cheese. Cheese
contains a natural amphetamine, phenylethylamine (PEA), that the brain
manufactures in response to the feelings of love. Embraced by the Italian
culture for centuries, cheese contains 10 times more PEA than found in most

win one of 11 prizes of $100 Pizza 73 gift certificates. Customers will be
able to see the top submissions at Pizza 73's official Facebook page. This
