EDMONTON, Oct. 25 /CNW/ - Serenic Corporation (TSX-V:SER), a leading
publisher of financial management and business operations software for
nonprofit organizations and government agencies, announced today that it has
released Serenic CommunityCare.
CommunityCare captures detailed consumer information, provides program
management functionality, and automates billing for human services
organizations, such as those serving the MRDD (mental retardation and
developmentally disabled) community. CommunityCare is built on Microsoft
Dynamics NAV, as is Serenic's flagship financial management solution, Serenic
Navigator combines robust core financial functionality and a full suite
of integrated industry-specific ERP applications with sophisticated Microsoft
technology. CommunityCare will now join the suite of products that integrate
directly with Navigator's core financials, providing an end-to-end solution
for human services organizations.
Software for the human services industry is often single-purpose,
designed to handle a specific function, such as billing, payroll or client
care. As a result, human services organizations must typically implement a
variety of software applications to meet their diverse needs.
CommunityCare, on the other hand, allows human services organizations to
perform many operations within a single application, running on a single
unified database. Organizations that implement CommunityCare will be able to
store and access highly personal information about their consumers, while
always adhering to privacy regulations; recoup costs for the services they
provide; and report to their board and funding sources about the impact they
are having on their local community.
Functional areas handled by CommunityCare include comprehensive consumer
records; administration of services provided; real-time reporting and
statistics; document management; detailed report writing; billing and payroll;
and multi-tiered security across organizations. In addition, CommunityCare,
through its Dynamics NAV foundation, lets clients customize their solution
with minimal programming.
"Serenic provides the broadest suite of fully integrated financial and
operational software products in the not-for-profit industry," said Randy
Keith, Serenic's president and CEO. "With the release of CommunityCare, we
have expanded that product suite even further to include an operational
solution designed specifically for the human services industry."
