Sedgwick CMS viaOne(R) Alert Feature Offers Advanced Claim Status Notification Capabilities

(Sedgwick CMS) today announced the launch of an advanced user-managed alert
feature for notifying Sedgwick CMS clients of changes in the status of claims
in the company's JURIS(R) claims management information system.  The alert
feature is now included with viaOne(R) view, part of the Sedgwick CMS viaOne
suite of Web-based tools for providing convenient access to the claims
information and user-controlled data management and reporting capabilities of
JURIS.
    The new viaOne alert feature increases the value of claims information
for Sedgwick CMS clients by expanding user-defined parameters for notification
of new developments affecting individual claims and facilitating accelerated
analysis of claim trends.  The notification utility includes an extensive menu
of information tracking points and comprehensive sequencing options.  These
capabilities enable system users to establish unlimited numbers of alert
triggers based on factors such as the duration, severity and processing status
of claims.  Users can also create alert nesting routines which integrate
combinations of contingencies into a single alert trigger.
    The alert feature operates with all JURIS-supported lines of business
including workers' compensation, disability, FMLA and other employee absence,
and liability claims management activities.  Other functionalities include a
variety of options for the delivery of notifications, links to full files for
claims associated with an alert, and customization of the duration of the
alert and the length of time alert data will be retained.
    The new viaOne alert feature delivers actionable information to risk
management and human resource professionals.  As part of the proprietary
