Scotiabank Changes Mortgage Rates



    TORONTO, April 6 /CNW/ - Scotiabank announced today the following changes
in the Bank's posted residential mortgage interest rates, effective April 7,
2009:

    
    -  six-month flexible closed  5.05 per cent (decreases by 0.15 per cent)
    -  six-month open             6.90 per cent (decreases by 0.15 per cent)
    -  one-year open              7.25 per cent (decreases by 0.25 per cent)
    -  one-year closed            5.00 per cent (decreases by 0.25 per cent)
    -  two-year closed            4.80 per cent (decreases by 0.20 per cent)
    -  three-year closed          4.95 per cent (decreases by 0.20 per cent)
    -  four-year closed           5.15 per cent (decreases by 0.30 per cent)
    -  five-year closed           5.45 per cent (decreases by 0.10 per cent)
    -  seven-year closed          6.90 per cent (decreases by 0.10 per cent)
    -  10-year closed             7.05 per cent (decreases by 0.10 per cent)
