TORONTO, Oct. 4 /CNW/ - The landmark yellow house at the corner of
Bellair and Cumberland has reopened!
Nine months after being destroyed by fire, Sassafraz restaurant is once
again back in business.
"It has taken some time while we made sure that every last detail has
been attended to, but we're now thrilled to welcome Toronto back to
Sassafraz," said Zoran Kocovski.
"We want to thank everyone who extended their encouragement and best
wishes while we rebuilt the restaurant," said Vasko Kocovski, Zoran's brother
and fellow co-owner of Sassafraz.
"We listened carefully to everyone's feedback, and we're confident that
we've been able to recapture the magic of the original Sassafraz while making
it an even better dining experience."
Among the new features of the redesigned and rebuilt Sassafraz:
- State of the art kitchen facilities, which allow for an expanded and
enhanced menu featuring exciting new items;
- A 20-foot vertical garden of flowers and greenery, giving the main
dining room a fresh and natural focal point;
- And a new rooftop patio - the perfect place to enjoy a drink under
(or right beside!) the stars.
Sassafraz is offering a limited edition "Taste of Things to Come" menu.
The menu features appetizers, entrees and desserts prepared with local market
