Sandals Resorts extends a hand in friendship to Canadian passengers and crew of CanJet flight

    Offers complimentary seven-night stay

MONTEGO BAY, JAMAICA, April 21 /CNW/ - Sandals Resorts is thankful for
the peaceful conclusion of yesterday's unfortunate and isolated incident
involving a CanJet flight from Halifax, Nova Scotia at Sangster International
Airport in Montego Bay. There were no Sandals Resorts guests on-board the
flight which was bound for Cuba.
In the spirit of friendship and reassurance, Sandals Resorts has extended
a complimentary seven-night stay at any Sandals resort in Jamaica for the
passengers and crew of CanJet Flight 918. The announcement was made during a
joint press conference with Jamaica's Prime Minister Bruce Golding and
Canada's Prime Minister Stephen Harper, who was visiting Jamaica at the time
of the incident.
"Sandals Resorts has enjoyed a rich and lasting history with Canadians
over the last 28 years, and at times like this we want to demonstrate our
concern for our friends," said Adam Stewart, CEO, Sandals Resorts
International.
"With over 230,000 Canadians visiting Jamaica every year, and numbers
growing every day, our goal at Sandals Resorts is to see that every one of our
guests enjoys a positive and memorable vacation and the opportunity to
experience the warmth and hospitality of the Jamaican people," continued.
