Safe Meds for Heart means a healthier Ontario...

ST. CATHARINES, ON, June 26 /CNW/ - The Ontario Pharmacists' Association
(OPA) is bringing the Safe Meds for Heart program to your community. OPA has
taken pride in the development and delivery of the Safe Meds for Heart in
partnership with AstraZeneca Canada Inc. and Pfizer Canada Inc. These seminars
offer a tremendous value to seniors, and their loved ones, who face heart
health issues.
Did you know that heart disease is the leading cause of death in Canada?
Approximately half of all seniors have high blood. Lack of education on the
appropriate usage of medications can lead to their misuse, and proper use of
medications can avoid costly visits to the emergency room and hospitalization.
MPP Jim Bradley will host a free seminar on Safe Meds for Heart for
seniors in St. Catharines. The Safe Meds for Heart provides a forum for
seniors to learn about high blood pressure, cholesterol and angina from
practicing community pharmacists who are experts in providing advice to
patients on the safe use of medications.
You are invited to see first hand the significant value that this seminar
has to offer seniors in your community.
